When walking for a great cause and someone you care about, fundraising can actually be fun! Last year, our national walker average was an outstanding $100. This year, we are asking every registered walker to BEAT THE AVERAGE by raising at least $125. To help, we have put together a number of tips and tools that you can use to reach your fundraising potential.Step 1: Set A GoalStart off by setting your personal fundraising goal. Consider how much you want to raise to fight CHD and what prize you would like to earn. Step 2: E-Mail Your Personal Fundraising PageAfter you register, you will be sent an online fundraising page that you can use to ask your family, friends & colleagues via e-mail to support your efforts. You can make it personal (and fun) by sharing your story and pictures. See our tools page for more information. Step 3: Write A Letter:Like to write? Then take a few moments to write your friends and family to catch up and announce that you are walking. See our tools page for a sample letter. Step 4: Don’t Be Afraid To Ask!You may be surprised just how many people you know will want to support your efforts so don’t hesitate to give them the opportunity to fight CHD. See below for our 5-Week fundraising plan
Fundraising is active for one month following the completion of each walk. |
